Hi all,
Sorry for my delay in posts. I wasn't able to get by the house the end of last week and my plan to see it over the weekend was foiled when kevin found out we couldn't go near it all weekend due to fumes from insulation, etc. I finally went by on Monday and it was MY very first time walking through the actual house! The photos from last time were all from Kevin. When I go over after work, I'm by myself and it's still a little treacherous to walk in, so I've been avoiding the awkward climb up inside - until Monday! I was absolutely in love when I made it inside and couldn't believe I was walking through MY house! I must say it is looking great and it's nice to finally be able to visualize it a little better.
Before the "photoshoot" (I went a little crazy with the pictures at this visit), I do have some very exciting news to share! Ready?!?! Drumroll.....
WE HAVE A CLOSING DATE SET!!!! Our pre-drywall walk through is tomorrow and we just today found out our exact closing date. It will be Wednesday, May 29. It's not the 17th like the originally said; the 24th like we hoped; or the 31st like I dreaded but accepted that that's what it'd likely be. You know what- I'll take it! (Obviously whether I "take it" or not, that is what it is!). It's a solid 12 days before my due date, so it's still possible to get in before the baby comes! In fact, I told my mom today that her and my dad may luck out with saving a trip - maybe they'll come in to help with the house and end up staying for the labor! :-)
